Tiger Tale

Tiger’s Whisker is an ancient Korean folktale that emphasizes the importance of patience. After Yun Ok’s husband returns from war, cold, harsh, and distant. In desperation, she visits a wise hermit for advice on how to conquer her husband's cold heart. She tells her she can make a healing potion, but it requires a tiger's whisker. Yun gains the trust of a tiger over several months with food and lullabies, and eventually gets close enough to pluck a whisker. To her dismay, the hermit tossed the whisker in a fire. The hermit instructs her to be as patient with her husband as she was with the tiger. In the following days, she sang to him just as she did with the tiger, recommitting to their home space until they found a new rhythm together. One day she returned home to her husband, humming in the garden, looking at a beautiful wild rose blossoming. They stood in silence, marveling at its beauty and held hands for the first time in a while.

Blends are the unsung heroes of most coffee shops, powering drink after drink. So we’re honoring that daily consistency by pairing two dynamic coffees for a lively and vibrant drinking experience. We’ve selected a natural Ethiopian lot from the Arbegona Bochesa farmers for its fruitiness, sweetness, and full body. We’re amping all of that up with a full honey special fermentation lot from the Urena Rojas family of Chirripo, Costa Rica. The full honey lot provides creaminess and tropical fruit sensations. These two stellar lots create an amazing blend that we’re excited to share with you.

We’ve crafted a fruity, tangy and fun cup for your brewing adventures. Striking citrus sensations open the cup, think lime or even grapefruit. Its lush and syrupy body offers the sensations of a just opened can of orange soda. A nice tropical vibe is felt throughout the cup, papaya, passionfruit and even a hint of pineapple.
