Gutiti Natural - Ethiopia
Gutiti Natural
Taste Story
This naturally processed Kurume varietal from Ethiopia has a lush mouthfeel with vibrant fruity flavors. On the first sip you’ll enjoy the brightness of a fresh raspberry jam. As it cools you’ll experience a crisp brightness similar to a Granny Smith Apple. It finishes very soft and clean with a tad of nectarine vibrancy.
Processing Journey
Cherries from hardworking small lot farmers are delivered to the Gutiti Washing Station for processing. After arriving at the station the cherries are floated in water for sorting, and to detect defective cherries. Once complete the cherries are placed on raided beds to dry for 14-20 days. During this time the cherries are consistently moved for even drying.
Farmer Profile
The coffee is grown and harvested by numerous small farmers of the Yirgacheffe region. We greatly appreciate their efforts as the most vital link in the specialty coffee industry. We always strive to honor their efforts with thoughtful roasting profiles that showcase the innate beauty of their coffees.
