Taste Story
We love this golden and well rounded washed lot from Huila, Colombia. It’s full of stone fruit sweetness and juiciness. As it cools you’ll find Golden Delicious apple vibes, a nice crispness that provides a good body to the cup. A caramel and shortbread cookie sweetness brings the cup together for a pleasing everyday sipper.
Processing Journey
Hand harvested coffee cherries are fermented for 24 hours and then depupled. After this, the coffee ferments for an additional 36 hours before being washed. The washed coffee is laid out to dry for 10-14 days depending on environmental conditions.
Farmer Profile
Miller Sarmiento and his wife Johany inherited their farm 18 years ago from her father. Miller's dad was a coffee farmer so he understands what it takes to cultivate amazing coffee. Miller's curiosity led him to specialty coffee and experimental processing. His great foundation in coffee has allowed him to succeed. His success has inspired his daughter to dream of becoming an environmental engineer, with a focus on preserving the local farm ecosystem. They’re a family on a mission to produce the best coffee with the best cultivation practices.
