Buesaco Narino Decaf - Colombia
By taste alone, you would never know this coffee was a decaf. This wonderful decaf from the Buesaco region is a very rich and flavorful coffee. E.A processed decaf is the result of a chemical process that utilizes ethyl acetate, a natural solvent derived from fruits, to extract caffeine from the green coffee beans. First the coffee is steamed to open its pores then the ethyl acetate is deployed to dissolve the caffeine in the beans. Lastly, the solvent is removed through rounds of evaporation.
