EA Cane Sugar Process
The decaffeination process begins with fermented molasses that is used in the creation of Ethyl Acetate solution, widely used in the food industry. Also, naturally occurring in fruits such as berries, pineapples and apples. Green coffee is steamed to prep the structure of the coffee for extraction. After the streaming process, the EA solution is mixed with the coffee and run through multiple times. During this process the caffeine bonds with the ethyl acetate and is separated from the coffee. The coffee is steamed once again to remove traces of the ethyl acetate. TheThis process removes 97% of the caffeine.
