Bavyeyi - Burundi

Taste Story

This amazing washed lot owes its beauty to the volcanic soil of Ngozi Burundi. You’ll find its medium body pleasant to sip. It opens with a brown sugar sweetness. You’re then greeted by apple sensations, honeycrisp and ginger gold most prominently. In the finish you’ll find warm fall spices, think cinnamon bun or pumpkin pie. Throughout you’ll find grape sensations. Think biting into a red grape and experiencing that perfect blend of skin and flesh. This is a perfect cup for fall mornings.

Processing Journey

Upon arrival at the processing station, the coffee cherries are floated to detect defective cherries. The cherries are then briefly fermented to break down the mucilage. After this the cherries are thoroughly washed to remove the mucilage, and then moved to mesh drying beds. The coffee is carefully monitored until the optimal moisture level is reached.
