KAMWANGI AB
This wonderful coffee is the pride of smallholder farmers from the slopes of Mount Kenya in Kirinyaga. A collection of delicious varietals (Ruiru 11, SL-28, Batian) are delivered to the local washing station for processing. The coffee cherries are sent through a disk de-pulper, which removes most of the fruit, fermented for 24-hours, and finally washed again. This entire washing process is 72-hours, after which the coffee is dried on raised beds for 7-15 days, depending on the climate, temperature, and volume of what is being processed. This method of processing honors the hard work of the Kamwangi smallholder farmers and creates a delicious bean to brew. It is our hope that you slow down and enjoy a cup of Kamwangi AB, reflecting on the dedication that was provided for each step of the journey until the coffee was able to reach you.
